Before you publish

  • Is the copy written for Japanese customers?

  • Is the product category clear?

  • Are the product title, description, SEO title, and meta description all reviewed?

Claims to review carefully

  • Disease names or treatment-like expressions

  • Cure, heal, prevent, improve, or medically suggestive wording

  • Guaranteed results

  • Strong slimming, fat-burning, detox, sleep, immunity, or anti-aging claims

  • Claims that imply permanent physical change

  • Before/after claims without context

  • “No.1”, “best”, “clinically proven”, “doctor recommended”, or similar credibility claims

SEO and metadata

  • Check SEO titles

  • Check meta descriptions

  • Avoid placing risky expressions only in metadata

  • Keep claims consistent across visible and hidden copy

Translation review

  • Do not directly translate aggressive English marketing claims into Japanese without review

  • Review localized Japanese copy separately from source copy

  • Keep safer Japanese wording available for the final product page

Escalate to an expert when

  • The product is close to medicine, quasi-drug, medical device, or regulated health claims

  • The copy discusses disease, treatment, diagnosis, prevention, or bodily function changes

  • The claim is central to conversion and cannot be removed easily

  • The team is unsure whether the expression is acceptable
